The Dual Pillars of Self-Esteem
In The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem, I identified six different pillars of self-esteem; the practice of living consciously, the practice of self-acceptance, the practice of self-responsibility, the practice of self-assertiveness, the practice of living purposefully and the practice of personal integrity.
However, for self-esteem to truly exist, a person must also possess sufficient levels of self-efficacy and self-respect. These two concepts are integral parts of a positive self-concept, and must be properly addressed and nurtured before any person can attain a healthy level of self-esteem.
